Wet Weather Policy

At Edinburgh Event Company, we acknowledge the challenges posed by unpredictable weather conditions in the United Kingdom. If you have an upcoming event and are concerned about potential complications due to weather, we recommend reviewing our policy.

In accordance with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines, it is crucial to note that any inflatable structures used outdoors cannot be operated when wind gusts exceed 24 mph. As your event date approaches, we will closely monitor weather conditions, particularly if forecasts indicate strong winds. Should the weather become excessively hazardous for safe operations, our team will refrain from setting up the equipment.

The safety and well-being of our clients and guests are our utmost priority. Therefore, if your event is planned outdoors and weather conditions become unsafe, we strongly recommend having a contingency plan. In many instances, postponing the event to a later date is advisable. We can provide a credit note for you to use within six months of the original event date if you do not have an immediate replacement date in mind. If it is infeasible to delay your event and must proceed on the scheduled date, we suggest preparing a wet weather contingency, which could involve relocating activities indoors.

Given the size of our inflatables, we can assist with rearranging equipment to better accommodate an indoor venue if necessary. However, please be aware that our team will not set up equipment under unsafe conditions.

Should you decide to cancel or postpone the event, please note that the full payment will still be required. We recommend reviewing our terms and conditions for detailed information on payment requirements in such cases.
