In the case of a bouncy castle hire without supervisors, hirers or organisers must have insurance to cover any eventuality that could arise at the event, including injuries and accidents to the users. While we have public liability insurance, it is the hirer or organiser's responsibility to ensure that they have the required insurance cover.

If any unforeseen circumstances prevent us from fulfilling our obligations, our liability will be limited to a refund of any money paid in relation to the event. In the event of a delayed start, we will offer a pro-rata reduction in the hire fee. No other compensation will be paid, irrespective of any loss of earnings. No refunds of any monies will be payed back to you in the event of you cancelling your event at the last minute. All requests of refunds should be made in writing within 48 hours of your event and posted to our office address. All booking are subject to availability and last minute changes may occur.

Although we endeavour to ensure the safety of our customers, people employed by The Edinburgh Event Company cannot guarantee against any accidents. It is the organiser or hirer's responsibility to ensure that all users are aware of the rules of use.

We will not be held responsible for any loss of property or accidents on any bookings for any reason.

Only responsible people deemed capable of exercising control over children by the hirer and delegated by said hirer should supervise the equipment. They must be on-hand at all times while the inflatable or equipment is in operation.

Any sharp objects, such as glasses and toys, must not be allowed on to the equipment.

Shoes are not permitted on the equipment. Glasses must be removed.

Streamers, silly string, freshly-painted faces, chewing gum, food, drink and other messy items must not be allowed on the equipment.

The hirer takes full liability for any damage caused, or any theft of the equipment during the course of the bouncy castle hire.

The equipment must not be removed from the site without The Edinburgh Event Company prior written consent.

The hirer must ensure that the equipment does not become overloaded. This can cause accidents for which The Edinburgh Event Company is not responsible.

No children of ages more than two years apart should use the equipment at the same time. The hirer or a responsible adult must monitor the equipment to ensure this does not occur.

Most equipment is intended for children under the age of 13. We do not recommend their use by older children. For more specific information, please contact us.

If anyone other than employees of The Edinburgh Event Company sets up the equipment, our public liability insurance will be invalid. If you have elected to collect the equipment yourself, please ensure you have adequate insurance.

No climbing over the roofs or safety walls. The Edinburgh Event Company can not take responsibility for accidents caused due to unsupervised play. All Infatables will need to be supervised at all times of play.

All units come with electric blower fans. Diesel or petrol generators or petrol fans are available at an extra cost. Fuel is not supplied and this is the full responsibility of the hirer.

Supervision is mandatory during wet weather conditions. Equipment can become slippery when wet so care must be taken. If there are any concerns, close the equipment down immediately, wipe clean and dry. When the equipment is suitably dry and safe, use of the equipment can resume.

The property should not be rehired to any person or group except the person it was originally hired out to without the prior written consent of The Edinburgh Event Company.

The equipment must not be sprayed with water from water pistols or hose pipes.

If there are any problems, call our office immediately for appropriate advice. Bouncy castles are not waterproof. Most of them are water resistant and we cannot guarantee dry play at all times. In the event of water coming in to your bouncy castle at your function or party it is your responsibility to dry the units and make sure they’re safe at all times. No refunds will be issued as a result of this as we cannot control the rain. Every bouncy castle has breathing holes in the roof to let trapped air out. If the holes get bigger through time this cannot be helped as it does not affect the use of the bouncy castle when using it indoors and no refunds will be given.

Venue. All necessary permissions required for the proposed event must be received by the hirer. All documentation pertaining to the hire, including public liability insurance, must be obtained at the time of booking from The Edinburgh Event Company. All copy of Certificating eg PAT testing/ Insurance/method statement/ risk assessment must be made 7 days prior to your event. The Edinburgh Event Company can not except responsibility for our equipment not be allowed in you venues.

If equipment must be transported through commercial or domestic areas, it is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that access is available and that any furnishings etc that could come into contact with the equipment is protected from damages.

If safety barriers are needed, it is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are in place.

All first aid equipment is the responsibility of the hirer.

The hirer must be aware that certain equipment should not be used in windy or wet conditions. Please speak to The Edinburgh Event Company if in any doubt.

It is the Hirers responsibility to read these terms and conditions. The Edinburgh Event Company will assume the hirer has read and understood the T&C's as confirmation emails are sent.

Payment should be made within 7 days of the agreed time allowed by The Edinburgh Event Company or a penitly of 25% per day will be added to the total amount.

The Edinburgh Event Company has the right not to refund the hirer if the equipment hired does not fit in the desired area. The hirer takes full responsibility for or the measurements and the access to any venue. Heavy equipment will not be lifted up flights of staire's and you will not be entitled to a refund. Our staff health and safety is important to The Edinburgh Event Company .

The hirer is responsible for packing away the balls that are used in the ball pool. If this is not done and The Edinburgh Event Company staff have to pack away the balls you may occur a fine of up to £35 depending on the time it took to pack away.

No images may be download or used from this web site for any thing without confirmation from the directorship of The Edinburgh Event Company . Any images used may result in legal proceedings.

Customers who refused to sign the Hire Agreement lose the right to any compensation and may be held responsible from the loss of equipment or damage of equipment.

All equipment hired is the responsibility of the hirer and the hirer will been showen how to use it.

A cleaning charge of £80 for any equipment returned in unsatisfactory condition may be applied per item booked out on hire. Soft Play cleaning chargh is £50 per item.

The hirer agrees to insure the equipment against loss, damage or theft at their own expense for the duration of hire. The hirer also agrees to provide adequate security for the hired equipment for the duration of hire.

The title to all hired equipment remains the property of The Edinburgh Event Company.

All hired equipment is accepted as working at the time of delivery if any equipment fails The Edinburgh Event Company must be notified ASAP.

The hirer shall not part with possession or control of the equipment or sell the equipment at any time while hiring said equipment.

The equipment must not be modified, added to, adapted, altered or interfered with in any other way while under contract.

The equipment must not leave the UK without prior written permission from The Edinburgh Event Company.

The hirer must notify The Edinburgh Event Company immediately in the event of any loss, theft or damage.

The hirer will be charged for any maintenance, repairs or damages that arise through negligence or misuse.

The hirer agrees to pay The Edinburgh Event Company the full replacement costs of any equipment that is damaged and beyond repair or lost or stolen. Any equipment that is left at your event must be returned to The Edinburgh Event Company or the hirer will be charged for this at a daily rate.

If the equipment is retained beyond the agreed hire period or if the equipment is returned incomplete, the hirer will be subject to additional hire charges.The hirer will not request a refund once they have accepted these terms and conditions.

The Edinburgh Event Company cannot be held responcabele for traffice to and from your eveant. The Edinburgh Event Company cannot be held responsible for the loss of any deposits on venue hire as a result of traffic.

The Edinburgh Event Company can not be held responsible for any damage caused in your property will setting up play equipment or machinery. It is the responsibility of the hireer to provide suitable access and parking.

The Edinburgh Event Company reserves the right to deliver equipment if it's in breach of health and safety for our staff and or is unsafe to gain access to the venue. ( ie we do not carry heavy equipment up a flight's of stairs ) please note that a typical Bouncy Castle ways in excess of 15 stone.

Food machines hire The higher is responsible for appropriate tables and positioning of the equipment. Most tables will take the weight of a slush machine and only the ice cream machine can go on certain tables.The Edinburgh Event Company Will assess tables on arrival. If any indentation or mark or bowing of tables is caused this is not not responsible forThe Edinburgh Event Company. The slush machine normally takes 40 minutes to slush. This can take longer on hot days if the machine is used outside. Full training will be given on how to use the equipment by The Edinburgh Event Company. The Edinburgh Event Company cannot be held responsible if the slush takes longer to slush.

In the unlikely event the machine comes back damaged you will be charged for the repair and any loss of money's on a daily basis rental.

Traffic The Edinburgh Event Company can and will not be responsible for delayed start to any event if we are held up in traffic and you will be notified by a phone call.

In the event of technical failures regarding the food machines The Edinburgh Event Company will always try to upgrade your food machine. With no additional cost to you. If you except this The Edinburgh Event Company reserves the right to to issue a refund if the upgraded machine outweighs the cost of your event then no money's will be refunded.

Under UK law in general, a client has the right to cancel an order, service or product within 14 days of placing an order. However, due to the nature of our business, the hire of our products and services are exempt under the exemption of leisure service activities on specific dates. The exemptions helps protect traders with limited capacity per date and are limited in ability to resell or fill the capacity should the client change their mind. This cover includes but is not limited to performance tickets, car hire, wedding venues etc. Traders may also be able to offer the ability to cancel but at The Edinburgh event company in the case of hiring specific products, goods or service on a specific date we do not accept cancellations.
A cancellation within 8 weeks - 25% of the total invoice needs to be paid
A cancellation within 4 weeks - 50% of the total invoice needs to be paid
A cancellation within 2 weeks – 100% of the invoice needs to be paid
