Frequently Asked Questions
We are always happy to help with any questions or queries you may have, but before you call, take a quick look at the list below where you will find the answers to our most frequently asked questions:
Are we Vat registered and what does this mean to me.
Yes we are going Vat registered in October 2024. Please email us for a copy of our VAT registered number.
Do bouncy castles have to be on grass?
All our bouncy castles and many other inflatables and games are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Outdoor bouncy castles are secured with stakes driven into the ground, so technically outdoors requires grass. But tell us your requirements and we'll tell you which hire is most suitable. Please check the measurements carefully for indoor use, especially height requirements. Is a deposit required to book a bouncy castle?
Yes, we require full payment in advance. This can either be made when you make your booking or you can pay a £25 nonrefundable deposit and the balance ten days before your event. If you don’t pay the outstanding balance 10 days before your event we will simply cancel your booking and you would of lost your deposit. However we are flexible upon request.
What happens if I cancel my booking?
If you need to reschedule your event we can usually make this happen, but if you cancel your booking altogether then charges will apply. Please see our information section for full details.
Do you need insurance for bouncy castle hire?
We have public liability insurance of £5 million. Safety and insurance documents are available on request.
How safe are bouncy castles to hire?
Very safe. All our units have their own PIPA or RPII safety certificates, with all electrical items PAT tested. We also clean and thoroughly check every item before every booking for your complete peace of mind. We provide an extra-long extension lead with an RCD adaptor and padded safety mats with every booking.
Are your staff DBS / CRB checked?
All staff provided for events have been checked by the Criminal Records Bureau. This documentation is available on request.
Can I charge people to use my bouncy castle to raise money?
Yes but if you do we strongly recommend that you take out public liability insurance in case of any injuries or accidents. If you’d like to use images of our castles to promote your event please ask us first.
Can you provide supervisors?
Yes, we can provide fully trained staff to supervise your event at a small charge. See our event staff page for details.
Is your equipment clean?
Yes, our equipment is hygienically cleaned after every hire. If you make a mess on our equipment, we ask that you clean it up as quickly as possible or we may have to charge you for extra cleaning.
What time do you deliver and collect the castles?
We provide flexible delivery and collection times to suit your event wherever possible. Typically we will deliver units between 8am and 1pm and collect them between 5pm and 7pm. Later collections are available at an additional cost of £10 per hour or you can keep your castle overnight for just £50.
How much space is required for a bouncy castle hire?
In addition to the castle itself, you must also allow an additional 4ft at both the back of the bouncy castle for the blower and at the front for guest easy access. We also recommend that you leave 2ft on either side of the castle. Please ensure that there is good access to the site as your castle is delivered on a trolley.
Are the bouncy castles waterproof?
Sadly not. All our castles come with a built-in shower cover to keep off light rain, but anything heavier and they will get wet, making them dangerous to play on. It is usually better to rearrange your event if the weather is looking bad, or set up the castle indoors if possible. If you choose to go ahead and can’t use your castle because of the weather, e cannot refund you.
